Growing up too fast
I just browsed through the blog and almost started crying when I saw how small Jonah used to be. He is growing up so fast right before my eyes! Just when I think he can't get any cuter - he does! Tonight he decided to sing with his Daddy during bath time. My heart melted.

Vacation 2009

This year we were very fortunate to be able to take a really great vacation which included a cruise to the Caribbean and a few days in Orlando, then we headed up to Tennessee for Dan's brother's college graduation. We had a great time and everything was made even better with Jonah. He was such a good boy and was such a great traveler. Even though he won't remember any of this, we have great pictures to show him!
My sherpa - we had SO many bags. Or should I say JONAH had so many bags!!
Our happy boy - ready to board the ship.

First Easter
We had a great Easter. We went up to visit all the family and Jonah got to meet three of his cousins for the first time. His Grammy made him this spiffy suit complete with a matching tie. He looked so cute for church!! He got to do lots of fun things, like go to the park, try out a walker for the first time, sit in a restaurant highchair for the first time and eat all kinds of new food - like french fries (which, sadly, he likes.) Overall, it was a great Easter weekend.
Mr. Smiles in his sweet little tie. Isn't he the cutest thing ever?!?
Jonah with his cousin Delilah. The met for the first time and instantly became best buddies. While they were sitting together, they would reach over and hold the other's hand. It was so sweet!
After church, we walked over to a big park by my parents' house. It was so fun. Jonah went down two slides for the first time (with Mom & Dad, of course) and he got to swing for a little while. Then, it was time for snack. The Easter bunny brought him some puffs and yogurt melts. He loves them both (so does Mommy!)
His older cousin, Delilah. What a sweetie! She hates grass and refused to walk on any of it at the park. It was hilarious!
Grandma and Poppy Mason got a walker for him to mosey around in. He didn't quite get the hang of it on this trip, but I'm sure he'll be a pro by the next visit. He did enjoy the toys attached to it!
Grandma Mason's toys are so much better than his own!
Not quite getting the hang of the sippy cup.

silly little boy
These are some pictures I've taken of him over the past couple of weeks. Time is flying by! He's about six months old in these. We love this one of him in his silly firefighter shirt!
He's a happy little guy. He has the longest tongue - can't figure out where that came from!
He found his feet a few weeks ago. Now his favorite snack is some toe nibbles. It's so sweet and cute. Can't get enough of him!!
His other favorite hobby - taking all of his toys out of his toy box. Then Mommy and Daddy get to pick them up and the fun starts all over again!
He LOVES bathtime!! He's recently realized he can splash and he just about empties out his little tub when he gets going!! He really loves to grab for his rubber ducky.
After bath, he get snuggle time in his super soft towels that Grammy made for him. He enjoys getting a baby massage with his yummy smelling lotion and then it's off to bed!
Not sure how great the video will turn out, but it's of him yelling and "talking" and having a great time in his jumper.

six months old
My little Sweetpea is six months old today! He had his six month check up today and he weights 17.4 pounds and is 26.5 inches long. What a big boy! The doctor was very happy with his development and warned us to start baby-proofing the house. She said he isn't going to wait to much longer before he starts exploring the house! He is doing so many new things. He can sit up by himself for short periods of time. He especially loves to sit with Daddy and pull all of his toys out of the toybox! He can roll over from his back to his tummy too, although he doesn't do this much because he can't stand to be on his tummy! He also rolls from his tummy to his back on purpose. He is also a little eating machine. He loves fruit with the exception of peaches. Not a fan o' the peaches. He recently tried peas for the first time. He isn't a fan but he was a good boy and finished them off. He should start eating the yummy meats in the next month (turkey surprise anyone?) and we will begin offering him some Cheerios in the next few days.
He also took his first plane trip. Last week, we flew up to the bay area to visit some good friends. He did really well on the plane trips. He slept on the way up and people-watched everyone on the way home. (His second favorite hobby!) While we were up there, he had a good time playing with Trina, who is two and a half. She was a good sport and shared her toys and enjoyed playing with some of Jonah's toys. Overall, it was a lot of fun.
What a big boy - sitting all by himself!
Jonah and his good buddy, Trina
Fast asleep in the magical swing. He hates the swing we bought him but couldn't get enough of Joe & Val's swing!!
