My absolute favorite series of shots. Jonah was trying hard to smile and say cheese, while waving at the train passing by!! I love his "toothy" grin!!
Here's a little preview of some photos we took of Jonah last weekend for his "3 year old" photos. I still have to edit them, but it's fun to take a little peek. They turned out so cute!
We've had a pretty cold winter, so on this day Jonah really wanted to go outside and play but I had told him it was too cold. So he put on his rainboots, his fireman jacket and hat and asked if he could go out now! How could I say no to that! So he went out and dug in the dirt with his plastic ax, like all firefighters!!
We finally took the boys to see the Birch Aquarium. We've been planning to go out there for quite a while. During the month of February, all the museums are half price. So we took advantage of the savings and headed out. It was really fun. It was pretty small, but that was good for the boys. They had a lot of fun looking at all the neat fish, jellyfish and sea horses.
I love this photo. This is an exhibit of a kelp bed. It actually simulates waves crashing at the top so the fish and plants move around in the water. The wall was probably 10 feet tall. They boys had a lot of fun getting close to all the fish swimming around.
This was a funny little eel that buried itself in the sand. It was really small and Jonah thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen!
This tiny submarine was on exhibit on the way in. Jonah was convinced it was a helicopter. It took a lot of explaining before he would finally accept that it went under water!
Tea Time! The boys got a cute tea set from Grandma for Christmas and they love playing tea. So we got out a "picnic blanket" and set everything up and ate our snacks together. The boys were so excited that I would get out "real" food!! They were so cute! Jonah enjoyed serving everyone and Henry had fun using the utensils!
We had a fun Valentines Day this year! Dan and I decided to hide their goodies with a ribbon trail leading them to it. It took Jonah a few minutes to figure it out but once he did, there was no stopping him! By the time Henry figured out what was going on, Jonah had already uncovered their surprise - The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD.
We are fortunate to have a bowling alley near us, and very fortunate to have good friends! So we all went bowling together on a random Tuesday night. Well, we thought it was random. Turned out to be during Christmas break, when the bowling alley was offering a special and they had a Groupon. So we were supposed to meet at 6 to bowl. Had to wait to start bowling at 9. That's pm folks. My boys are usually asleep in their beds by 8! But we figured, why not. Could be fun. As you can see by this picture, Jonah had fun. Henry, not so much. Poor Hamster. He loves his bed and sleep. He still managed to be a good sport and got his second wind around 10. So we all bowled and had a great time. It was so cute to see Jonah in his little bowling shoes. Didn't try to get shoes for Henry. They would have been cute too!
Grandma and Grandpa Mason got all the boys Knight/Dragon dress up outfits with swords and shields for Christmas. Super Cute! So of course, we had to get pictures of all the boys together. After the nice photos, we got this beauty. Yep, that's Jonah going for the stab while Gavin tries to take his cape off. What else do you expect when you give a bunch of little boys swords and tell them to get the dragon?!?

Henry looks a little more like Dracula!! His cape was so cute. Since he's so tiny and the other capes are so big, Grandma Mason made his little cape. She did a great job. And I'm so glad he has his own. He would have been upset to be thought of in a different light than the other boys!
