You know you're a homeschooler when...

 ..you buy an ant farm!! We were studying about bugs and ants, so I thought an ant farm would be cool for the boys. Unfortunately, once you buy the farm, you have to send away for the ants. And the ants are only shipped when the weather is agreeable for them. So it took a while to get our ants. But once we did, everyone was super excited. Thankfully Dan agreed to put the farm together and load it up with ants. The ants were a little intimidating. They were really big and really fast! We got them loaded in and the boys had a lot of fun watching them build their tunnels over the next few days/weeks.

Squishy

 Lucy is so cute and tiny in this picture! Getting in a little snuggle time with Grandma.

We've decided Squishy is a perfect nickname for this sweet girl. She's got so much to squish! Love chubby babies!!

She was playing in her baby gym while I was cooking dinner. I noticed it was too quiet so I went in to see what was going on. She had fallen asleep in it!! Such a funny girl!

Memorial Day

 We were in Visalia for Memorial Day visiting with Dan's parents. Every year, a group displays donated flags throughout the cemetery. So we decided to drive over and take a look. It was actually pretty impressive. There were hundreds of flags everywhere. It was neat to drive through the streets as they were all lined with flags. The boys thought it was pretty neat too. I wanted to get a few pictures of them with the flags and Mike wanted to look for a few relatives buried there. So we parked and looked around. It was such a nice cemetery and very old. I found grave markers for people who lived during the 1800s.

 This one is one of my favorites.

Henry's Birthday Part 2

 Henry was having a lot of fun with his own dinosaurs that he never plays with at home! Funny boy!!

 We went to a birthday party a few weeks before Henry's and they had a piñata. Henry thought it was super fun and asked for one for his party. Luckily I found this one on sale at Target and it fit the bill perfectly! We had a lot of fun filling it with goodies and candy. And Dan had way too much fun pulling it for the kids!!

 A friend from church told me about "Fairy Day" at a local nursery and we decided to take our girls. It was so much fun! We all ordered little tutus and wings for the babies. It was the cutest location too. The nursery is actually a wedding venue as well. They have all sorts of flowers growing everywhere and there are a lot of little tucked-away places to take photos. Obviously the babies didn't get anything out of it, but we had a lot of fun taking the girls out and playing dress up!

 No idea why this merged the two previous photos.  This little one in pink is Addison. She was adorable toddling around with her big butterfly wings!

Henry turns 3

 Henry really wanted a dinosaur birthday this year, so thanks to Pinterest, he got a pretty cute dinosaur party! He said he wanted "happy dinosaurs". Sadly, that's a hard request! Most dinosaurs are mean, snarling and fighting or ready to rip flesh off of something. That doesn't really say three year old! Thankfully, Etsy came through for me. I was able to find these super cute dinosaurs from an artist in Indonesia for only $3! Woohoo! So I printed all the dinos and made some cute invitations for next to nothing. That's my kind of party! I got the idea for the table from Parents magazine. It was super simple too. We had all the dinosaurs and I bought everything else at the dollar store. I think it came together pretty well. And most importantly, Henry liked it!

 The cake turned out pretty cute too. It was really easy.  A Pinterest find!

 We cut out dinosaur footprints from green paper and had them out in the front yard. Kinda fun!

 I totally forgot to practice blowing out the candles with Henry. Poor guy. He was blowing down all weird and the air wasn't getting anywhere near the candles. I think I eventually had to blow the candles out for him!

 He had so much fun ripping paper off his presents! That was probably the best part for him!!
