Dan won some tickets to the childrens' museum here in San Diego, so last weekend, we decided to take the boys and check the place out. It was different from what we expected, a little too "artsy" and "green" for our liking, but we still had a great time. Some of the inventions were pretty neat. After we played around there for a while, we drove over to Seaport Village, which is always fun. We had some incredible fish, shrimp and chips and then looked around the cute little shops. It was such a fun and relaxing day!
They had a huge table covered in these blocks. Jonah was more interested in figuring these weird chairs out.
This was the "Rain Room". It was a little shed-type room that they had piped water through the ceiling and down the walls, so it sounded like rain. The floor was spongy, so the kids had fun running and jumping around in there. For whatever reason, this was where Jonah wanted to spend all his time!
One of the weird "artsy" vehicles. It looks pretty cool but it was WAY too complicated for any child to operate. However, Dan enjoyed wheeling around in there for a long time!
Henry loved the museum too, can't you tell?!? He was such a good boy! He hung out in his stroller for about two hours without any complaints!
Jonah loved this little ladybug riding toy. It was kind of small for him, but he had fun riding around.
Another "artsy" vehicle. This one was kind of a cool chariot type thing. You had to pump the steering thing to make it go. If you didn't pump fast enough, it would go backwards. As you can imagine, the place was a little chaotic!
We ended up in this room with Ikea-type shopping carts and blocks. Jonah was in heaven to be pushing something. And ramming. And chasing unsuspecting girls. *sigh* At least he was having fun!!!
