The boys and Lucy had a room to share upstairs by the game loft and we had a bedroom downstairs, complete with our sweet little roommate!
Ben was such a GOOD little guy on our trip! He was smiley and happy, even though he got a touch of the stomach flu while we were there. Dan and I started the trip incredibly sick, but thankfully, after a few days, we felt better and were able to enjoy the cabin even more.
The kiddos enjoyed painting some spooky haunted houses to take back home.
This fun rock park was down the road from the cabin, so it made a great place to walk to and explore.
The hammock was a huge hit too!
And of course, a lizard was caught. Jonah is the lizard whisperer!
We celebrated Jonah's birthday while we were up there and one of his presents was a fort building kit. So all the kids had fun making a fort - even Ben got in on the action!
Lucy's first piggy-tail! I can hardly handle the cuteness!!!
Our trail leaders (or so they thought!)
Love these little squishies!!!
Every day, we filled up the bird feeders - or should I say squirrel feeders! We filled them up about three times a day and always had birds, blue jays, squirrels and chipmunks around to watch. It was really fun!
Fascinated with the bird feeder!
The super cute little playhouse was a huge hit!
Getting ready to catch some bugs!
Idyllwild had the cutest and coolest park! It looked like it had recently been completed and the kids had a blast burning off some energy there!
The park even had a rock wall!
We took a day and drove to Lake Hemet so the kids could "fish". Jonah was absolutely sure he would be able to catch a fish with his net. Surprisingly, no fish swam into it.
His birthday loot!
We had so much fun hiking, fishing, playing and exploring. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had and I am sure we will be doing it again!
