One night we had family gingerbread tree decorating time. I found this idea on Pinterest and it was prefect. We tried making gingerbread houses last year and they were far too complicated for the boys. It turned into us doing all the work and the boys just sitting around. Pretty sad. So this year we went with the tree idea and it fit the bill. The trees are just sugar cones that are iced in green frosting, then decorated. The boys had so much fun! They enjoyed nibbling on some of the "decorations" but for the most part, they just wanted to decorate their trees!
