six months old

My little Sweetpea is six months old today! He had his six month check up today and he weights 17.4 pounds and is 26.5 inches long. What a big boy! The doctor was very happy with his development and warned us to start baby-proofing the house. She said he isn't going to wait to much longer before he starts exploring the house! He is doing so many new things. He can sit up by himself for short periods of time. He especially loves to sit with Daddy and pull all of his toys out of the toybox! He can roll over from his back to his tummy too, although he doesn't do this much because he can't stand to be on his tummy! He also rolls from his tummy to his back on purpose. He is also a little eating machine. He loves fruit with the exception of peaches. Not a fan o' the peaches. He recently tried peas for the first time. He isn't a fan but he was a good boy and finished them off. He should start eating the yummy meats in the next month (turkey surprise anyone?) and we will begin offering him some Cheerios in the next few days.

He also took his first plane trip. Last week, we flew up to the bay area to visit some good friends. He did really well on the plane trips. He slept on the way up and people-watched everyone on the way home. (His second favorite hobby!) While we were up there, he had a good time playing with Trina, who is two and a half. She was a good sport and shared her toys and enjoyed playing with some of Jonah's toys. Overall, it was a lot of fun.

What a big boy - sitting all by himself!

All smiles on his first St. Patrick's Day

Fast asleep in the magical swing. He hates the swing we bought him but couldn't get enough of Joe & Val's swing!!

big boy

Jonah is such a big boy! I can't believe his is almost six months old. Where does the time go? He is growing everyday and becoming smarter by the minute. He is starting to sit up on his own and is able to roll over from his tummy to his back, although he doesn't realize that he is the one doing it! He is eating like a big boy too. His favorites are bananas, pears and carrots. He absolutely hates peaches and butternut squash. He also loves to go for walks in his stroller and going on the baby swing at the park. Each day he grows I realize his is becoming more of a little boy and less of a baby, which makes me a little sad, but I'm excited for all the firsts that are still coming our way. This cute picture was how we found him this morning when we woke up! He loves to rub the blue blanket on his face when he is falling asleep. I guess he was wrestling with it last night. Apparently the blanket won.

Such a big boy! He can almost sit up by himself. The Boppy helps solve the wobbling problem.

His froggy was attacking him while he tried to work out on his gym. But he had the last laugh. He showed that froggy a thing or two by munching on his feet.
