Disneyland Trick or Treat

We took our annual trip to Disneyland for their Halloween Trick or Treat party. It was super fun but super hot. When we got there, around 3, it was 102 degrees. Not what you want to wear a Halloween costume in. Thankfully it cooled down to the upper 80s when the sun went down, so the kids could wear their costumes and still function! Lucy had a blast going on the rides and watching people. She was so good the entire day and didn't sleep a wink!

All my sweet boys on the "Putt Putt" cars!

 Super cute little Dorothy!

Jonah wore a Zoo Keeper costume from the San Diego Zoo. He was so cute! And Henry wanted to be a "happy pumpkin." He was so hot, but still happy!

Yearly Pictures!

So one Sunday afternoon, I decided to take the boys out and get some pictures of them at 6 years old and 4 years old. They weren't really happy to put on these clothes and go out for pictures, but they ended up being super good sports!! We actually had fun and they did perfect! Sadly, I had my camera on the wrong exposure for most of the shoot so a lot of my pictures didn't turn out as well as I hoped. That's the frustrating part of learning to photograph! But all in all, I got some pretty cute shots of some super cute kids!!

Jonah was so happy to take his picture on the old railway car.

Henry was a nervous wreck. He was completely convinced we weren't supposed to be here and that he was going to get in trouble.

Sweet Lucy

Lucy LOVES bath time. Basically whenever Dan starts running the water, she comes running into the bathroom! Well, this time, she wouldn't wait for him to get her undressed. She was fooling around and fell into the tub completely clothed. Not such a happy camper!

 Sweet girl!!

If you look closely, you can see Lucy has decided this little greenhouse has become a perfect place for her to store stuff. Like her cheese. Yes, those little bits of orange are pieces of her cheese she stored here for a few days. Ewww.

Cheetah Speed

So the boys love to watch Wild Kratts on PBS. It's all about these two brothers who are able to mimic the "powers" of different animals. Well, one afternoon, they both thought they needed to show me their "Cheetah Speed".  It was so funny! They look so cute when they try to run fast!!

Jonah turns 6

My Sweetpea turned 6!! Where does the time go? He was super excited for his birthday and just wanted Star Wars everything!! It's funny how all of a sudden they get to the Star Wars stage. We had a fun night celebrating his birthday with just our family, then a few days later, he had a little party with some of his friends from church. It worked out really nice since we had his party at a kids play place on a Friday afternoon, since all of his friends are homeschooled.

This is what he wanted most of all - Mos Eisley. I had never heard of such a thing but apparently all Star Wars buffs know that is the bar in Star Wars where those aliens play the funny music.

I love this girl!

Sweetest girl ever!

End of Summer

We had a great end to our summer. The summer was so packed full of great experiences, friends and family - what a great year! We ended our summer with a Padres game, lizard hunting in the backyard,  we started our first official year of homeschooling, Jonah started playing soccer, we had our first visit from the Tooth Fairy, and we ended with a fun trip to Seaworld. Whew! It was busy and fun indeed!!

I absolutely LOVE Jonah's face in this one! I have no idea what he is doing, but it's funny!!

Jonah and Henry were so excited they caught this baby lizard. I was pretty impressed! And thankful that it escaped with it's life!!

 Crazy hair day!

It was a milestone for Jonah. He was tall enough to ride Elmo's Flying Fish all by himself. Sniff, sniff. A little sad for me.
