Family Time

Jeff & Suzanne and the kids came down to enjoy Thanksgiving with us. It was SO fun having a full house! We took advantage of having company by going bowling, decorating gingerbread men and taking lots of family photos! This really is the best time of the year!

The bowling ball is almost as big as she is!

The whole gang, minus Ben who was our team mascot!

 Action shot!

The kids were super excited to decorate their own giant gingerbread men. And it was a lot of fun to see how different their creations were.

Notice Jonah's gingerbread has glasses. So funny!

Henry's happy with his end product!

The day after Thanksgiving, we loaded up the kids and took them to my favorite photography spot to get some photos. It was a lot of fun, despite the heckling husbands.

This is one of my favorite photos. Henry is so cute!

 Sweet girlies!

After photos were finished, the kids got some time to explore, which they loved!

Family Photos

It's that time of the year... everyone's favorite...family photos!! Seriously, my kids groan when they hear that we are taking pictures. But they're still pretty good sports once we get out to the spot and I start clicking away. This year we decided to try a "new" spot. I always go to the cute little park in Old Poway because I love all the rustic charm and old buildings. But we can't take every single photo there! So I spotted this cute little "meadow" in the same park where Jonah has his soccer games. It turned out great, if I do say so myself.
As you can tell, I still need some help with placement and posing, hence the tree branch shoving me out of the way.
Jonah's missing teeth just make this photo what it is - fantastic!

This one turned out pretty sweet too.

It was a bit windy the day we took photos, which didn't help my hair!

 This one's a keeper!

Gotta throw a blooper in there.

Legoland

We had the opportunity to take a field trip to Legoland in a homeschool group that we are a part of. The crazy thing is, we got tickets for $8/person and they had a special going where we got another ticket to come back in January for free!! Definitely can't beat that!

The boys love Legoland and are always asking to go. So this was a really great opportunity. They had a class in a classroom at Legoland where they learned about motion and gears. Then they used Legos (of course) to build different models of gears and see how the size changed the resistance. It was really great! Then after the class, they were free to explore Legoland for the rest of the day. So Dan took the day off and we made a family day of it!

Henry and Jonah just LOVE these little Lego cars. They have them set up according to age, so Henry and Jonah were actually in different categories. So Henry road the smaller cars and Jonah road the bigger cars on a different course. I think Henry enjoyed it, just a little!

We had some friends attend the class with us and then we all explored Legoland together!

 Selfie with Daddy

Who knew the Star Wars land would be such  hit?

This little R2D2 was an actual robot that rolled around and talked to people. There was a Legoland guy with a giant controller standing around discreetly controlling him.

The Death Star actually opened and closed and played the music.

Waiting for the class to start

Lucy & Alexander were good sports to just hang out while the big boys had class.

Jonah had a ton of fun driving around the Lego City.

These horses are also a huge thing with the boys! For whatever reason, Legoland is weird and strict about the ride ages/limits. For some rides, you have to be a certain age and for others, you have to be a certain height. For this one, you had to be a certain age, but not too old. It's crazy. Anyways, for the first time ever, both boys met the criteria and were extremely excited to finally get to ride these horses. They actually are really cute and I can see the draw. Lucy of course, wasn't the right age.

Henry built this tiny car from the spare parts hanging around the Star Wars Legos.
