Hammerin'

Lowes Project

Last Saturday we got up and got ready to take the boys to Lowes to do one of their kids projects. They are so fun and Jonah really likes building stuff with his Daddy! Of course, to get everyone in the mood, we had to start out with donuts for breakfast! Henry went with a little baby cookie instead.

Jonah ate all the frosting off his mini donut. That takes some talent!

The remains

Showing me the hammer

And a block of wood

And the finished project - see a theme here!

That's better, Sweetpea! (Daddy helps show how to hold it so I can take a picture!!)

Modeling his new rain boots for the trip to Disneyland. He couldn't wait to wear them. Luckily it was raining Saturday too, so Daddy took him out to splash in the puddles and get them worn in!

Disneyland '10

Yesterday we took the boys to Disneyland. We didn't realize we would spend the day swimming from one ride to the next - crazy storm of the century!! We knew it was going to rain and we thought we were prepared. Unfortunately, everyone except Henry ended up soaking wet for most of the day. Oh well, we all had fun anyways. Jonah was such a little trooper. He never complained of being wet or cold or hungry or thirsty or tired - he just kept saying, "More rides!" Due to the rain, a lot of rides were closed, so we'll have to bring them back in the spring when the weather is better. But the rain did help to clear out the crowds. This rain really separated the men from the boys, if you know what I mean! We got there at about noon and it was pretty crowded. By three, we weren't even waiting in lines for the rides! I think the longest we waited was about 15-20 minutes for A Small World. Not too bad! Jonah was so excited and it was so fun to experience Disneyland with him. He really seemed to get the whole thing and had a lot of fun. We will definitely be back!
He LOVED his little rain boots!

Keeping the Hamster dry and warm

Trying to stay dry

Of course, I forgot Henry's hat. So guess what he got for his "souvenier?" A snuggly Mickey hat with matching mittens!

Soaking wet and all smiles!

Henry pretty much managed to stay warm and dry the entire time

Dumbo - his FAVORITE ride! He kept talking about it all day.

Daddy showed him how to make it go up and down and he was all set

I was completely surprised that Jonah loved Santa! He was excited to sit next to Santa on the bench. Probably because Santa had a great Irish accent!

Last ride - A Small World

Henry LOVED A Small World! He danced and sang through the entire ride. Most of our boat was watching him and cheering him on! So funny how little one's respond to this ride. I remember this was Jonah's favorite ride when we brought him here last time - he was almost a year old. He clapped and danced around too!

The castle looked even prettier with the rain

Last photo of the day. Jonah was so tired and cold he refused to get out of the stroller. He went the entire day without a nap and was such a good boy. Makes me want to take him back again soon. :)

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we had a great visit with both sides of the family. It is always too rushed and goes by too fast, but it's always great to see everyone. This year, Dan's mother's birthday fell on Thanksgiving. So for her gift, all the kids/families went in together and arranged for family photos. They came out really great, so I've included a few here. We got them taken the day after Thanksgiving which was also when Henry turned six months old!

The kids on Thanksgiving Day

Jonah relaxing after a big Thanksgiving meal!

The whole Mason bunch/ a whole bunch of Masons

Henry enjoying Grandma's toys - they're much better than his own!

Jonah enjoyed "tea time" with Grandma (but I think Grandma might have enjoyed it a little more!)

The "After" shot of his haircut - he was a little upset by the clippers

Before - crazy hair boy!

growin' and playin'

Wow, so I didn't realize it has been a month since I last updated my blog. And when you've got a two year old and a six month old, a lot happens in a month! So, I'll try to catch you up here in a few postings! This posting will have pictures of the boys from the past month. Above, Jonah decided to ride Rudolph after we decorated the tree. Poor Rudolph did stand a chance!!

New jammies from Grammy & Pom Pom!

Henry can't wait to inherit the Batman jammies!

Reading a book and enjoying a little snack before bed.

Goofy guy!

Love that smile!

He thinks it's so fun to walk around in my shoes.

So, now I know these photos are dated. Here Henry is learning to sit up. He is now sitting up like a pro!

Both boys LOVE Elmo!

Tasty toes

Isn't this so cute! Henry's the same size as his stuffed bear! :)

Such a happy little guy!

Henry's first "big boy bath." Both boys took a bath together for the first time and Henry loved it! Jonah was pretty excited too and he enjoyed "helping" give Henry the bath.

I'm a big boy!

Sitting up all by himself! This little guy's determined to grow up as fast as possible!
