Nappy Time

After nappy time, Jonah likes to come out to the living room and sit in his fancy Elmo chair, eat a snack and watch either Thomas the Train or Blues Clues. (The flash on the camera has a huge delay, so he doesn't usually look this sleepy!) He's so cute sitting in his chair watching his favorite shows. He doesn't even mind that he watches the same shows every day. We've got all the songs memorized by now!
On this day, he decided it would be more fun to watch his shows with his stick horse from Gracie's bed. She's such a good sport, she doesn't even mind the accidental pokes and jabs from the stick horse!

Jonah the Builder

I guess fixing Jonah's closet is a family affair! Today we took out his old closet and repaired the walls so we could install his new fancy closet system from the Container Store. Of course, Jonah wanted to be in the middle of everything - to supervise, or course! So Daddy gave him a tool that he couldn't actually tear up the walls with, and he "helped" us scrape stuff off! For a while he just wanted to hit the walls with Daddy's hammer. But once we started scraping and filling in the holes, he thought that was much more fun!

He wants to be just like Daddy!

Winter Fun

We had a pretty fun December with a lot going on. The weekend before Christmas we went to Tucson to visit friends. It was a really fun trip, although a bit short. We'll have to go back again soon! Before we knew it Christmas was here! We had Christmas morning at our house, then loaded up and drove to Grandma & Grandpa's. We had Christmas evening with the Mason side of the family - then back to Bakersfield to have Christmas with the Karnes side on Saturday. We had a lot of fun and did a lot of fun Christmasy things. After a few days, back up to Visalia to spend time with the Mason side - then back home. Phew!
Watching Thomas on Grammy's new portable DVD player. He just needed a little box of popcorn!
All shnazzie in his Christmas outfit from Grammy.
On the train at C.A.L.M. to look at all the lights. He wasn't too impressed. Maybe next year.
Check out his cool hat!
Kickin' it with Grammy & PomPom.

What can I say? It was cold.
Christmas at the Mason's. Gavin, who is only six months younger than Jonah.

Uncle Dewey got him a popper. It was noisy love at first sight!

Christmas at our house. We had to prod him to keep opening presents. He just wanted to play with the first toy he opened!

The first toy opened. He just wanted to be left alone to play!
Feeding the ducks at a pond in Tucson. (Yes, they actually have water there!)
He couldn't quite master throwing the crackers to the ducks. He would smash them up and throw them at the ground. I'm sure the ducks had a feeding frenzy after we left!
He loves his Daddy! Here they're hangin' out in Tucson.
He loved to wear this little top hat that went with a stuffed snowman. He would bring it to us to put on his head, then he'd walk around the house really slow so it wouldn't fall off!
