Statler & Waldorf

Grammy & PomPom gave us this cool bike trailer for Dan to pull the boys around in.  They were SO excited to try it out (all three of them!) So we decided to take a little ride around our complex to see how it went. I took Lucy in the jogging stroller and went for a little run. We were able to fish out another helmet for Henry. Poor guy. It was a helmet we bought for me a long time ago. So it was HUGE on his tiny noggin. But he wore it like a champ - he was really excited!

I packed them a little snack and some water bottles and we belted them in. It was a little cool, so they got to take their blankets in too. It just added to the excitement. Dan was excited to pull them around and the trailer seemed compatible with his mountain bike. They headed off and I followed them for a short time before they were too fast for me.

I finally caught back up with them, or maybe they doubled back for me! Dan was having a good time and they boys were too. So they headed out again.

When Dan returned he said the boys turned into big time back seat drivers. Or better yet, those old guys from The Muppets - Statler & Waldorf. Dan said he could hear them the entire time, "It's cold in here. We're going too fast. Why're we going so fast? Why's it so loud in here? What's that noise? Daddy's gonna crash." You get the picture. Apparently he got a good 30 minutes of Statler & Waldorf Mason before calling it a day. Those boys crack me up!

Summer Vacation Part 2

We enjoyed the swimming pool at the resort too. It was so nice to be able to just walk down to swim and not have to lug stuff to the car and then to a pool! The boys were really excited to go swimming with daddy! Lucy had the cutest swimsuit to lounge by the pool in. She was SO cute! We just hung out and took pictures while the boys swam. It was perfect weather and since we went down on Sunday afternoon, a lot of people had already checked out. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves. Oh, and did I mention, there were three pools! This place really knows how to do it. There was a pool for the kids which only went five feet deep. There was a family pool, a spa for everyone and an adults only pool. It was nice to know the boys could splash and play and not annoy other people. If people didn't want to be splashed, they could just go to the adult pool!

 Look at those legs!!

Fathers Day 2013

Since we were at the Loews Resort for Father's Day, I took the opportunity to get some cute pictures in their beautiful courtyard. I found a deal and got all the boys matching ties. They also made Lucy a matching hair bow. So cute!! And Dan's always a good sport and goes along with it. Such a good Daddy and husband! Let me tell you, taking pictures of two squirmy boys and a baby is like herding cats. Herding cats, I tell you!!! I don't think I have one picture where all four of them are smiling and looking at me. And that's ok. I still crack up looking through these pictures. All their sweet faces and squirminess shining though. It was a great Father's Day and we had fun celebrating with the best Daddy ever!
I love how Lucy is cracking up, Dan's instructing Jonah and Henry's hungry.

 Jonah's face is hilarious!

Look at this sweet little Hamster and his cute bow tie!!

 Jonah's a ham!

 Daddy and his little Squishy!

LOVE this one!!! Jonah loves Lucy so much and Henry has the cutest mischievous look on his face. I love the kidlets!

Another hilarious outtake. I love how the sun lights up Henry's ears. He looks like a little elf!

Summer Vacation Part 1

This year we decided to take a really fun vacation and stay here locally! Well, our vacation was actually a result of necessity. We were due to have our place tented for termites, so we all had to be out for a weekend. Since we had to get out, we decided to make the most of it and make it into a vacation. We stayed at the Loews Resort on Coronado. It was amazing! I don't think I've ever stayed in such a nice place! We had a view of the ocean bay from our room, a balcony (which terrified me with the boys!!)
The second day we were there, we drove to the cute downtown area and walked around the little shops. There was a fantastic park close by, so we took the boys over to run around and burn off some energy. They both loved this little car. Jonah made several friends within minutes of arriving. Henry had a lot of fun playing by himself or following Jonah around. Love their different personalities!

After we arrived, we unloaded and then took a walk around the resort. Everything was so pretty and tranquil. The perfect place to relax!

Amazing sunset

This cute birdhouse was in the hallway to our room. It was filled with a bunch of tiny finches. The boys were memorized by this setup!!

Lucy chillin' out with her monkey!

 Jonah at the park

We found a really cute pizza grotto while we were walking around downtown. They had a lot of really unique pizzas. We settled on a Hawaiian. Not really unique but definitely good!

Lucy getting ready for the beach. I LOVE this outfit. A friend got it for her at my shower and I've been waiting for just the right moment. Look at those chubby thighs!

Beach day!! The boys were so excited to go to the beach. And I include Dan in that too!! He never gets to go to the beach with us, so this was an extra special treat!! We could walk right under the road and were right on the beach. I could definitely get used to living like this! There's something to be said for just waking up and walking to the beach.

Henry was having so much fun! He's usually not a big beach guy but he let loose!

 Squishy!

 Building sand castles with Daddy!

Dan had a really cool kite that he had been waiting to fly. Jonah was taking a turn flying it. It was so windy you didn't have to do anything to fly it other than let it up!

Movie in the park

One of the things we love about summer in San Diego is the "Movies in the Park". They are put on by the cable company and are totally free, which is right up our alley! They put on a different movie in different parks all around San Diego throughout the summer. We went to see Madagascar 3, which was pretty cute. They boys enjoyed it and Lucy was a good girl and slept through the entire movie. It was really cold but it kind of made it more fun to be bundled up in blankets.

Different businesses also sponsor the movie. A dentist office was sponsoring this movie so they were out handing out frisbees with their name/logo on them. Jonah had no idea what a frisbee was but he was excited to get one!

All bundled up with her cute owl had on!
