Bates Nut Farm

I spy with my little eye, an angry Gingerbread man.

We were looking for something fun to do one Saturday morning and decided to drive up to Bates Nut Farm to look around. It's a cute little farm where we usually go to pick pumpkins at Halloween time. They have a fun gift shop and cute animals to feed, so we thought we'd go up and check it out. It turned out to be our lucky day! They were having a cute little Santa's Workshop sort of thing going on. And since it rained the night before, no one was there!! Sad for them, but good for us (no crowds!). They had a big craft fair with cute homemade stuff, lots of yummy food booths, a hay ride to the North Pole, balloon animals and gingerbread houses to make for the kids. It was SO much fun! We plan to make this a tradition.

Henry was still reeling from having to stick his head in the gingerbread man cut out, so he wanted nothing to do with making a house. But Jonah and Lucy were all over it!

A little nibble never hurt anyone!

 The finished product. Pretty cute!

Henry recovered.

Next, we took a hay ride to the North Pole! Yay!

Santa! Jonah was excited to see Santa until he actually saw Santa. Then he was Mr. Shy. Hopefully he didn't ask for a football.

Everyone felt more comfortable glued to Daddy. Thankfully for Lucy, Santa focused on Henry.

Yikes! Until he focused on her!

Ahh, the ol' porta potty photo.

The kids had a blast feeding the goats, sheep, ponies, ducks, geese, turkeys......
and llamas. That's right, they even had a baby llama! It was SO CUTE!!
Lucy wanted to take the llama home with her.

It was a good day.
